Designed to be a serious tool, the wind-up system offers maximum dependability for those times when you can't afford to be left in the dark by dead batteries. A quick wind (about 60 seconds) provides up to 3 hours of light on the lowest setting - and you can rewind at any time for as much shine-time as you want. An LED charge level indicator tells you the optimal winding speed.
Fitted with a dimmer switch, the Indigo allows you to adjust the brightness of the lantern to your specific requirements, from maximum brightness to a night light. This also allows you to maximize your playtime rewards - the lower the brightness, the longer the shine.
An integrated directional LED also offers excellent performance, delivering an hour of brilliant white light per 60 second wind -allowing you to use the Indigo as a reading light or flashlight as well as a lantern.
The Indigo comes standard with an AC/DC charger and, fully charged, the lantern provides up to 2% hours of continuous ultra bright light, and 70 hours of night light, using the LED cluster. Similarly the integrated directional light will shine for up to 40 hours continuously when fully charged.
Internal mechanical components are specified to industrial standards for repeated use and long life. An articulated handle lets you to carry or hang the lantern as required, and the sturdy rubber feet allow for placement on uneven surfaces. The Freeplay wind up system is built around a custom designed, highly efficient alternator. The architecture of this patented system has been developed to maximize the ability of the user to convert human mechanical energy into stored electricity quickly and efficiently.
While the basis of Freeplay's superiority lies in the performance of this system, Freeplay has extended the engineering excellence to every aspect of their products. The winder handle is made from tough glass re-enforced Nylon and is designed for comfort and ease of use. The transmission (gear train) is constructed to high manufacturing tolerances from glass re-enforced Nylon and Acetyl – dissimilar engineering plastics that dramatically increase the life of the gear train (lifetime in excess of 500,000 cycles). Due to the unique way in which the batteries are charged; accelerated lifetime tests have reflected no significant capacity loss after 10,000 crank charge cycles. Coupled with solar and wall charging facilities, Freeplay self-sufficient products are truly powered wherever you go – anytime, anywhere.
Returns & RMA Policy It is our promise to our customers to provide them with quality working products. However, if a customer were to receive a defective product, we offer customer support for returns, tracking and order corrections. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for RMA authorization. Customer support by phone is available Monday-Friday 8am -5pm via recorded message and returned phone call. This line is not manned all day long, but calls will be returned within 24 hours in most cases. We offer a 30 Day Defective Only ~ Return Policy. All defective returns will be replaced with a working model of the item, additional shipping charges paid for by Preparedness industries. Returns must comply with the following requirements below for return acceptance. RMA Requests & Authorizations Email: email@example.com RETURN AUTHORIZATIONS Returns must be issued a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization). RMA REQUEST You agree for documentation and verification purposes and to time stamp RMA request that we require all customers to request an RMA via email. Customer request for RMA's will be honored from the date we receive their email request, regardless of our reply time. REQUIREMENTS TO QUALIFY FOR AN RMA NUMBER 1. Returns accepted for defective items only 2. Product must be intact, undamaged and unaltered 3. RMA number must be requested within 10 days of order delivery 4. Product(s) must be returned within 10 Days of issued RMA Unauthorized Returns Items returned outside of our policy terms In the event an unauthorized return is delivered to us outside of our policy terms, you agree that credit will not be issued and that we reserve the right to exercise the option to discard the item after 30 days or return the item to the customer at the customers expense. If the customer refuses delivery or has moved without providing us with the proper shipping address, you agree we will hold the item for a period of 30 days and then discard the item after that term has expired. Be advised if an order is canceled that is not determined to not be defective or the item has been tampered with to create the effect of a defective item, Canceled orders will incur a 25% cancelation / restocking fee. In the case of an item being on Back order, we will notify you of the back order and expected delivery date. If for some reason this delay in delivery provides hardship for the customer a full refund will be issued upon your request. Shipping charges are non-refundable on returns involving non-defective merchandise.
Preparedness industries will ship most orders direct from our Nevada warehouse via Fed Ex or USPS within 24 hours of receiving the order. Shipments are sent Monday through Friday. We do not have Saturday pick-up for package. Orders Placed after noon on Friday through Sunday midnight will be shipped on the next working day. Shipping charges are calculated based on distance traveled, size of package and supplies. Because of the nature of some of our items and the bulk size which incurs additional shipping fees from our Shippers, we reserve the right to place your order on hold and request additional shipping be paid before shipping the order. This is typical on large bucket orders or Large Food orders. Some items may ship directly from our vendors. In these cases we will notify you via provided email address or phone number. We can’t guarantee delivery times from these items. However our vendor group has proven to be a group of very customer friendly providers. We will do everything possible to expedite the service. In the case of an item being on Back order, we will notify you of the back order and expected delivery date.
